Our Wedding Photos

It's been a while since we last posted anything here. We've both been very busy these days with work and household chores. (AKA Too lazy to post)

Our lives have changed so much since we got married. Every day after work, we still have to wash clothes, sometimes cook dinner, and also general cleanup of the house.

I never knew I generated so much dirty clothes. We seem to be washing clothes an awful lot. I am trying to keep it to a minimum these days.

Its not easy leaving together, but I guess we're getting used to each other. Many interesting things have happened during our short lives together so far...

Happy things such as:
  • Cooking dinner is always nice
  • Furnishing our house (By going to HomeFix countless times)
  • Going to work together
  • Coming back home together
Not so nice things:
  • Cleaning up after dinner
  • Dryer destroying our clothes
  • Washer staining other clothes
  • Chores, chores, more chores
  • Complaints about my tv watching habits
Luckily things seems to be starting to evolve into a routine. Thankfully I still have wifey to prepare breakfast every morning for lazy hubby!

Two questions that I get quite a lot these days
  1. When is your housewarming? No plans yet, I haven't really had time to settle down until about 2 weeks ago... (Honeymoon, business trip, ICT)
  2. Is baby coming soon? Well... Hopefully so.... :)
Oh speaking of babies, I want to congratulate my brother and sister in-law, Gordon and Sheryl on their beautiful baby boy, Evan Wee!

Enough of my ramblings, here are some selected photos from the wedding day itself.

The bride getting ready in the wee hours.

All made up, awaiting for my arrival.

The sisters, waiting for my arrival too.

The shining knight arrives...

...with his Band of Brothers™ (of both sexes).

The usual, as usual...

Lucky for me, this event was a total and utter failure.
(No leg hairs were harmed in the making of this image)

Game time over, time for modeling

A very nice shot of our backs with
our new home in the background.

Time for the paperwork to be signed.

A nice view of the awesome ROM decor
done up by my wonderful cousins and sister.

Some pre-dinner mingling.

Nervous times... (Breathe, breathe...)

Nice looking cake, too bad it's only a mock up.

Looks harder than it really is.

YAAAAMMMM!!!!

More YAAAMMMM!!!

Show's over...

Well, if you are still reading this, good news for you, the entire set of photos can be found here.

That's it for now, I'll try to muster enough effort to do another posting on our honeymoon in Hokkaido. Until then, this is Hubby signing off...

There was another montage that was not shown at the dinner (below). This was a freebie given by Orchard Hotel. We had it made, by decided that we wanted a more personal touch to the montage, thus this was a backup just in case there we couldn't get the childhood montage up in time.

Moving into our new house!

Clock ticking away... 5 more days to the big day!

Hee today wifey is impersonating hubby in blogging! Yoohooo....

According to the Chinese Lunar Calendar, 21 June 2008 is a great day to move house.
As such, Da Bo Gong (AKA Tua Pek Kong AKA Big Uncle God) moved in officially in the morning. We were asked to stay a night over in the new house as a ceremonial gesture of moving house.

For that, we went to buy a mattress. I managed to smuggle my smelly blanket into the new house! Yeah ;> Hee luckily I did! It rained heavily in the night!!! Was so so cold! Stupid hubby stole the blanky from me... :P

Okie okie... 21 June is also my good friend's wedding cum birthday! It's the most non-traditional wedding that we've attended! The food tasted really great (except for my surprise desert!! I preferred hubby's soursop ice-cream over my cinnamon ice-cream :S). The photos are great too!! Projected over so many sets of LCD tv and huge screen.

We wish the lovely bride and her hubby (both are going to be our emcee for the wedding too...) a blissful marriage!!! Ling-er! For you wor!!!

Hee... last but not least... we've finally sent out the actual day schedules to our dear brothers and sisters. Looking forward to some action packed morning [heard from hubby that the brothers-sisters gang willingly took up the task of crashing the gate without "fang shui" (aka let water)] hee (bracket is in programming style) Wahaha hubby complaining about my England powderfullness.. Tata I'll be back! Got the password hahahaah

(To Brenda dear: You are welcome to swim in the pool anytime! Hee but we must be in of course! See ya at housewarming~~ will show you all the nice pictures!)

We've sent out most of the wedding invitation cards, only left some that we can pass by hand.

Woo... I feel famous already...

I just found out courtesy of my sister that we have been featured on Jacqueline's Blog!

Jacqueline is the associate photographer that followed Jon during our shoot in January. Quite a mild lady, didn't really get a chance to speak to her much on that day.

Anyway here's the link to the post.

Feel a bit flattered to be on someone else's website.

Do visit her blog too if you have the time...

Sequence of Activities for 27 June

I guess we have not been keeping everyone informed of the activities of the actual day events, so I guess I'll just put it up for all who wish to see. :-)

The plan currently now is:

27th June 2008

8 - 9 am: Groom goes Bride's House

10 am: Bride reaches Groom's House

10 - 11:00pm: Tea Ceremony at Groom's Family

11:30 - 12:30pm: Tea Ceremony at Bride's Family

1:30 pm: All to proceed for ROM Ceremony at Orchard Hotel

2pm onwards: Buffet Lunch at Orchard Hotel

I hope lunch is not too late for everyone, we are planning this way as we have a few considerations,
  • HF needs to step into my house between 9 and 11 am
  • Our Justice of Peace is extremely popular is can only make it between 1:30 - 2pm
  • Cater for ample time for all to have fun without being too rushed
  • To treat everyone a nice lunch for taking the extra effort and time (skip school/leave/overseas) to be present on a weekday.
We are deciding if we should check into the hotel on Friday itself, as we do, then everyone can just pop into the room to hang around or rest before going out to enjoy your Friday evening.

Let me know in the comments for any feedback!

Our Blog: Redesigned

How does wifey like the new look? Hee I spent quite a while trying to the the image uploaded correctly... Stupid me... so obvious yet I never realized...

But anyway, I think it looks more professional looking now..

I also renamed the blog... The inspiration was from the original title "When 2 becomes 1" therefore after 2 becomes 1... the end result is.... 1 > 2! Because we will become more than the sum of our previous selfs...

Oh and by the way, I gave myself admin rights, so I can do whatever the h@#$ I want with our blog... Kakaka.....

Happy Labour Day

Hi Mdm Yeo, Happy Labour Day! I was just about to type in a normal post then realize that since this is a blog about us, I shall just talk as though I am talking to you.

Hee today is such a warm day... and also very packed full of activities... We went to baby bash, went to buy furniture then went to buy cake for you mummy, then go your place for dinner...

All in all a sweat filled day...

I like our tv console a lot... Hee... liked it ever since we first set eyes on it.... Together with the coffee table... Looks perfect!

My main purpose in blogging today is actually out of guilt. Cos I received a lot of compliments about my facebook account picture... Hee people say its very nice...

However, we did say we didn't want to show it to others until it is fully completed, hence the guilt.

So... I shall now post in for the whole wide world to see my beautiful wife!!!

Ta Dah!

There it is... Nice hor.... I received lots of good comments on this photo... Hee

Talk to you on my next post again! Tata....

Gosh... The mad rush is starting...!

Hugs Eliza sweetie!!! So happy to see your comment! ;)
Woo... I've been munching on lots of chocolates and snacks. I do hope I haven't added too many inches to my waist. I'll be very sad if they have to alter my gown to a bigger size (T.T)

After missing from the blog for so long, here goes a new photo posting.

<== That's my make up artist, Sandy from Taiwan.
Also Derrick's sis :)
tatarah... of course you have me!

That's my actual day gown... oops.. I'll be wearing it on both 27th and 28th June. Hopefully you won't smell any "nu ren wei" from me hee We are now starting to tabulate the guestlist. This has proven to be quite a tedious task. Rounds and rounds of sms, emails to friends and colleagues. Well... hope to see all of ya whom I have/haven't met up with and miss so much!!!

The house's carpentry is about to start... but.. but... AHHHH without the house key!!! Apparently the delivery of the house has been pushed back again to MAY! Geez... don't think it'll make it for our wedding day.

Well... here we have to thank 3 pp.

1. Sean, our ID from living@tmosphere (aka Shufang's bro), for helping us design the interior, shopping with us etc

2. Elleen, our wedding specialist from Orchard hotel, for acceding to our requests and arranging for a function room for our solemnization. :) that really ease us from the stress of having to complete our house on time.

3. Mr Chan Kai Yau, our JP. We have to change the time and venue for the solemnization ;P

Geez... next thing to think about would be our brothers and sisters gang...

My sisters all starting to abandon me.. (T.T) sobs...

Now I have to my list:

1. Ah Bee

2. Jing fang

3. Lay Lay

4. Huimin

5. Abby

hopefully Xiu will be around then too. :) of course if Eliza sweetie and Wincy (how about Sandy babe???) could be here on 27th too, that will be great fun!!! yeah!! hee seems like my sister gang is pretty big afterall hur.

Not forgetting that I have advisory board too!!!

On board we have:

1. Xiang Yan (married longer. more experience hahaha)

2. Huishi (will be then just married... hee hopefully will not be soften by the blissfulness to give chance to the brother gang... (*V*)

Let's see... should I introduce the brother gang on Derrick's behalf?

SHALL NOT!!! hee he's getting a bit lazy at blogging :P

BROTHERS of the world unite!!! hee see if he does justice by introducing you guys & gals... (did I mentioned, Derrick's brother gang ain't a full guy team. More of a buddies team with 2 chiobus inside)

Guess this long entry should make up for the disappearing act previously. :)

To end off... hee hopefully we stun you a little with ... my back (rather my outdoor gown) hee ;p

Finally we're down to action. Think my phone bill is going to burst this month.
Sent so many sms out last night to ask if pp want to come to our wedding. hee we've got too many pp we want to invite but too few tables... so be glad if you are invited. It meant you are important to us!

First posting from my new X61!!!

Yupee!!! Got my new lappie!
I love my new X61 - Small and light! Pro looking hee... had intended on buying a laptop for so so long...
Now I'll have little excuses not to come up with the wedding montage.
Perhaps paying $250 for someone else to do the montage will take less effort, at a lower cost too. :S Now my montage costs 2K instead. Bitter sweet irony isn't it... hee luckily got hubby's support.

Started my first tuition with 2 sweet gals. A bit rusty with Mathematics. But I kind of enjoy doing it. Train up my brain a little. :) else think i'll get senile real soon hahaha been pretty forgetful. Hopefully I'm not misguiding the young ones.

Oh my future father-in-law got us a pair of miniature 过大礼 baskets from China. So cute. Forgot to take picture of it. Shall add to the blog later. Lee-san is going to get miniature oranges, the miniature pork leg cans, the miniature dragon-phoenix candles and miniature ang pow to put into the baskets. haha but the money in the ang pow cannot be small..!

Saw Huishi & KK's new house. Pretty well done! Hope our house will TOP really soon.

Hello World: The Sequel

...
Hallo! This is one part of the couple, Mr DLSL saying hello world!

HELLO WORLD!

Was "strongly encouraged" by my other half to start making entries to our blog. Which by the way has a extremely corny title.

Will think of something to change it to... eventually.

So.... what else can I say.... Hmm....

Just wondering how to post pictures on the blog...

Hmm... let me click around...

Ahh! Stupid me... so simple... went one big round.... Post a pic of my pretty wife to be....

Hmm... maybe blogging isnt as hard as it seems.... If only I could find a way to get it to work on my beloved mobile computer...

Well thats another story for another day.... Adios, world!....

Tuesday, March 4, 2008

In the mood for love...

As the IT nerds usually start a basic program with "Hello World"... my very first blog entry shall also be the same...
HELLO WORLD!!!!!
As most would probably have known by now... my spinsterhood is starting a three-month counting down! (T.T) so touched... finally I'm wanted by somebody.... and the silly goose?

<<<< かわいい!!!! (*v*)

===== @-~~- ======== -~~@ ===== @-~~- ======== -~~@ =======

Now now... everyone has been asking the below questions:

  1. how's your wedding preparation?

  2. have you taken your wedding shoots?

  3. am I invited?

  4. what color themes are you going to use?

  5. will you get the beetle of your dream?

  6. when is the house ready?

  7. etc

The answers my friends... are as below:

  1. Nothing to prepare at the moment... Food tasting, invitation, guo da li (Give Big Gift???), fitting etc all come 2 months before the actual day. (BTW it's 27th and 28th June my dear... if you haven't mark the date)

  2. Photo shoots done by the terrific Jon Keng. Something different from normal bridal studio shoots. Nope.. the album's not out yet... so let's cross our fingers ;)

  3. hee limited seatings... so if you are invited, please feel honoured.

  4. Colors of the world unite! Definitely not Black and White. I'll be murdered. (Anyway if I didn't remember wrongly, by Derrick's definition, Black and White are not colors....) Nothing's confirmed keke.
  5. Yuhooo....!!! won't be getting a beetle anymore! (perhaps Derrick can still catch a bettle, spray it with a (W) volkswagen logo and give it to me kekeke)... The frickle-minded me is looking at TD2000

  6. Haven't T.O.P yet... hopefully we get it this month... :S
